At the request of the Independent Office of Audits and Investigations, the California Department of Finance, Office of Audits and Evaluations (Finance) completed an audit of the City of Fontana's (City) Proposition 1B funded project 0800000237 of the I-15/Duncan Canyon Road Interchange. The project was funded using Corridor Mobility Improvement Account and State-Local Partnership Program funds. The complete audit is attached.
Based on the audit, Finance determined that the City did not adequately support and report on project benefits/outcomes.
Please provide our office with a corrective action plan, including time lines, by July 18, 2019.
